Living Benefits include:
- Critical Illness Insurance
- Disability Insurance
- Long Term Care
Critical Illness
Critical illness insurance offers a one time lump-sum payment which usually becomes payable 30 days after the diagnosis of a critical illness covered under the policy. The benefit of this coverage is that the lumpsum amount is paid to you while you are still alive and can be used in any way you wish.
Disability Insurance
Disability insurance provides financial aid if you were to become disabled as a result of an accident or illness and unable to work or earn an income. If you become disabled and unable to work, disability insurance would replace a portion of your income.
As policies differ on how soon you would collect benefits after an illness or accident, and how long benefits would continue, Bill would work to provide the coverage that would best fit your needs and your budget.
Long Term Care
Many Canadians believe that their health care needs will be taken care of with little or no cost to them. However, with an aging population and government cutbacks in service, it is likely that if you develop a long-term illness or suffer a disability the provincial health care plans will not cover all of your available options.
Long term care insurance allows you to make choices now for your future care. You could decide to receive personal attention from care-givers in the comfort of your own home or to select a private care facility. A Long-Term Care plan can protect you against financial strain.
