Types of annuities include:

Term Certain Annuity

Term Certain annuities provide the annuitant with a guaranteed, regular income for a specific period of time. Once this period is over, the income payments will end.

Life Annuity

Life annuities will provide an annuitant with a guaranteed regular income for the rest of his or her life, no matter how long they live. A Life annuity can be purchased on one person’s life (single life), or based on a couple's lives (joint and survivor life). These annuities can be purchased with or without a guarantee period.
