John Deacon

A group Insurance specialist for nearly 40 years, John joined The Deacon Group in 1986.  Among his larger clients are the International Office of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), the Christian Missionary Alliance’s (C&MA) Eastern Canadian District, University of Toronto Schools (UTS), Counterpoint Engineering, Kinetic Cafe, Hicks Morley, Gardel Metal and Slant/Fin Limited. 

With groups ranging in size from 2 to 300 employees, he relies on the agency’s hard-working staff together with the educational resources provided by the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists in maintaining his expertise in the employee benefits field.

John is actively involved in the Toronto Christian Resource Centre in Regent Park as a Honorary Board member and housing advocate, as well as the on-call guitarist in one of the city’s older and invigorating churches which moved out its pews to make room for homeless people. He has been happily married for as long as he has been in the insurance business and with his wife Debbie delight in the lives of Michael, Sam, Kamara, Johnny G and Amy, their future. Fraser R. Deacon
CLU, CH.F.C., CEBS

The founder of The Deacon Group, brings over 35 years of industry experience to the firm.  Prior to joining the insurance industry, Fraser worked in Children's Mental Health services and in institutional and residential services for adults.

Fraser has continued the long term relationship with the United Way Toronto and York Region that was established by his father in 1956.

Fraser is active in a variety of community organizations, including being a past president of both The CM Hincks Treatment Centre and  Ontario March of Dimes.  He is also actively involved in a variety of sports.

William E. Deacon

As our individual insurance specialist, Bill focuses on assisting clients achieve financial security by prioritizing their essential personal, family, and business goals, understanding the implications of these goals, and exploring the plans and funding alternatives to succeed.

Married with three children, Bill is involved in his church and is a volunteer fitness instructor at the YMCA.  He is an sports enthusiast and avid cyclist who is most likely found outdoors.
