John Deacon, BA, FLMI, CEBS

A group insurance specialist for more than 30 years, John joined The Deacon Group in 1986. Two of his larger clients are The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and the Eastern Canadian District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, with his other clients varying in employee number from 3 to 200. He relies on the educational resources provided by the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists and his fellow staff to retain his edge as a benefits expert.

Married for more than 30 years, his wife Debbie works for the Canadian Mental Health Association as their Manager of Mental Health Promotions.  They have 3 grown children.

John is actively involved in the Toronto Christian Resource Centre in Regent Park and The Olive Branch Community Church in North Markham determined to bring wealthy and poor together.

Fraser R. Deacon, CLU, CH.F.C., CEBS

The founder of The Deacon Group, brings 30 years of industry experience to the firm. Prior to joining the insurance industry, Fraser worked in Children's Mental Health services and in institutional and residential services for adults.

Fraser has continued the long term relationship with United Way Toronto that was established by his father in 1956.

Fraser is active in a variety of community organizations, including being a past president of both the CM Hincks Treatment Centre and the Ontario March of Dimes, and has been very involved in a variety of sports. He is married with five children.

Bill Deacon

As our individual insurance specialist, Bill has spent his entire career in the life insurance industry and single-handedly accounts for our company's thriving individual insurance business. His focus has broadened to include long term disability and critical illness insurance for individuals and corporations.

Married with three children, Bill is involved in his church and is a volunteer fitness instructor at the YMCA. He is an outdoor sports enthusiast and avid cyclist who is most likely found outdoors.
